It’s that time of year, Father’s Day is approaching, and that can only mean the US Open is drawing near.

The 2016 US Open is heading to Oakmont Country Club for another go around the historic course. This will be the 9th time Oakmont Country Club will host the Open, the last one being in 2007. Oakmont Country Club was founded in 1903 in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. It is the first course to be recognized as a National Historic Landmark. It is also one of the toughest venues for the Open.

This year Fox is hosting the US Open for only the second time in history. You will be able to capture live coverage on TV or through Live streaming on the internet. You won’t miss a moment of this exciting Major.

Long rough, narrow fairways, and fast (some say the fastest) greens makes the US Open one of, if not the most difficult major on the PGA Tour. It has been privy to some of the most exciting finishes, greatest collapses, and unbelievable comebacks in the game of golf.

The US Open is unique in its playoff format as well. If there is a tie after 72 holes those players must compete on Monday following the conclusion of play for an 18 hole playoff. A tie concluding this results in sudden death like we saw in 2008 with Tiger Woods and Rocco Mediate.
