Golf Channel Feherty Show- Exclusive “Missed Cut” Clips With Lee Westwood

Posted 3/13/13 With our exciting new relationship with Golf Channel, we’re in privy to some exclusive “missed cut” material that never gets released to the masses on the airwaves.  Yep, we’re delivering these never-before-seen clips straight to you. In the new 2013 season of Feherty, David’s third guest of the year is Lee Westwood, with no coincidence to the fact that Lee Westwood owns the third place in majors finishing spot, but will never actually win one (ouch indeed- yep, I’ve caught some heavy criticism on Twitter for that bold statement, but I stand by that remark to the...

Phil Mickelson Hits 450 Yard Drive Down Cart Path at WGC-Cadillac at Doral, Pleases Happy Gilmore Frankenstein Guy

Posted 3/7/13 There’s long, then there’s PGA Tour long, then #Bubbalong…and then there’s off-the-cart-path 450 yards long.  That’s exactly what Phil Mickelson did with his tee shot on the 17th hole Tuesday at the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral. Check out the Shot Tracker image of Phil’s tee shot (below)- his ball literally bounded straight down the path all the way down the rough line and up near pin high by the green’s grandstands.  After moving around the gallery, weighing his drop options, thinking of pulling a Tin Cup and banking it off the sh*tter (ok I made that last...

Golf Channel Feherty Show- Exclusive “Missed Cut” Clips With Paul Azinger

Posted 3/6/13 With our exciting new relationship with Golf Channel, we’re in privy to some exclusive “missed cut” material that never gets released to the masses on the airwaves.  Yep, we’re delivering these never-before-seen clips straight to you. In the new 2013 season of Feherty, David’s second guest of the year is Paul Azinger.  In this first clip, Paul discusses his retirement from the game and how he plays poker 3-5 days a week for hours at a time, rides his motorcycle and doesn’t play much golf, but that he feels a void of not doing something charitable.  He...

New Golf Boys Song “2.Oh” – Awfully Hilarious (or Hilariously Awful?)

Posted 3/4/13 Ben Crane, Bubba Watson, Rickie Fowler and the vocally untalented Hunter Mahan are back in full Golf Boys gear with their release of their latest song- “2.Oh.”  You of course remember their first release, “Oh oh oh,” which debuted about 18 months back. The first video consisted Crane in his patented leotard full body suit (wow he gets a scary amount of use out of that thing), Bubba in his overly revealing denim overalls, Rickie in his…well, metro leathery-type gear and Hunter in his fur and plethora of hair.  The second video consists of…yep, you guessed it-...

WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral Preview, Picks and Predictions- Plus A Random Great Big Bertha Reference

Posted 3/4/13 There’s a reason that Greg Norman used to wait to start his PGA Tour season until Doral.  The place just has that “it” feeling when walking the grounds and gazing at it on tv.  Well, it definitely used to be the place for Greg and so many other international players to make their season debuts.  Even if those times are long gone, what Geoff Ogilvy said following his  2nd place finish at The Honda Classic, Geoff Ogilvy still seems to ring loud and true- “I mean, the Tour starts the first week in January in Maui, but...

Michael Thompson and His No-Name Khakis Win The Honda Classic

Posted 3/3/13 So, um, yeah, didn’t quite see this one coming.  Safe to say that neither did Tiger or pretend wisdom tooth Rory or Graeme or Lee or Justin or Charl or Louis or the rest of the top-tier crowd entering into this week at PGA National.  Yep, the Honda Classic is supposed to produce winners like wisdom-tooth free Rory McIlroy and Luke Donald and Ernie Els and Padraig Harrington and Matt Kuchar and Vijay Singh and…oh wait.  For each of those Rory’s and Ernie’s and other wins from the world’s best, there are past winners like Tim Herron,...

2013 The Honda Classic Preview- THE Event of the Florida Swing

Posted 2/26/13 It’s crazy to think just a few years back to the PGA Tour’s Florida swing and what were considered to be its top-tier tournaments.  The PLAYERS Championship highlighted the swing, followed by Bay Hill and Doral.  The Honda Classic was just-another-one-of-those-tournaments-sponsored-by-some-random-Asian-automobile-manufactuer.  No offense to their company personally, but it was fitting back then that Honda sponsored the tournament, if you know what I mean. As we wrote about here last year, fast forward to today and The Honda Classic has become THE event of the Florida swing.  In our post last year, we also wrote how amazing...

Matt Kuchar’s Golf Swing- PGA Pro Swing Analysis

Posted 2/26/13 We all love Kuch.  The man is a perma smiley McSmilerson and is one of the steadiest, most consistent players in the game today and this past week, captured the WGC Match Play Championship at Dove Mountain in Marana, AZ. Matt Kuchar’s frame is tall and lanky, as at 6’3″, he is one of the taller and more lean players on Tour.  Typically with such a tall frame, a player may have an upright and forceful swing.  Kuch is the epitome of an exception in this instance. The first that you’ll notice about Kuch’s swing is how...
