In this video, Golf Fitness Specialist Dick Bartling gives you an exercise how to improve the strength of your forearms and help maintain the wrist cock in your golf swing. Just take a five or six iron, and stand with the club at your side.
Go ahead and pull your wrist up until the club is above parallel to the ground. Hold briefly, and then back down. That’s the exact same position that the wrist is in when it’s cocked in the golf swing. This is a great way to help strengthen those muscles, particularly for younger players and female players that may lack strength there and have difficulty maintaining that wrist cock.
