In this video, PGA Teaching Professional Todd Kolb teaches you how to hit a fade golf shot.  The fade golf shot starts out left of the target and works its way back towards the right (as a right hander).  It is very effective to use when a hole or situation calls for this type of shot.  Here are some tips on how to achieve this.

The first and easiest way to hit this desired shot is to take a normal grip and stance but you are going to adjust the clubface.  As a right hander, you are going to open the face, moving it towards the right slightly.  With this the ball will tend to go out towards the left and fade back right, into the target.  Secondly, you can weaken the golf grip.  Go ahead and take the left hand and move it more towards the left part of the golf grip. The third way to hit a fade shot is to open the stance by moving the left foot back and the right foot forward. This will open up the body, allowing you to swing a little bit across the golf ball and the golf club outside to in. If you have mastered the fade, check out USGolfTV’s tips on how to hit a draw.
