Antigua Clothing has come into the 2016 season with a flash, bang, and a boom! They’ve doe this with their Spring 2016 Performance-72 Fashion Golf Wear.
They nailed it. Not only in style, but with their new color schemes. They have come back to the tried and true classics. Antigua is using a simplistic yet, fresh and fun series of primary colors. They are taking current trends and going from couture to ready-to-wear.
“Every brand has its version of ‘ath-leisure’ clothing, so it was up to our design team to create something unique.”
— Danielle Dellios, Antigua head of women’s design
The Pillers in Antigua Clothing
With electric brights fading out, pairing these primary popping colors with neutral, black and white colors, the consumer will receive a very complementary combination. The blocks, stripes and solids in the performance fabrics have hit a perfect look, as well. They are so vivid that they have renamed the colors to Fire, Sunburst, Verdant, Hypnotic, and Mardi Gras.
By using only the primary colors, it is giving the clothing a refreshing bold punch of newness to the brand, so much so, that you will want to have multiple Antigua shirts in your wardrobe.
The performance shirts consist of a moisture-wicking technology, which were exclusively created for the Antigua line.
The technology known as Desert Dry is designed to absorb and wick moisture quickly and evenly. It is a very light weight fabric which offers a more improved drape for those of you who are done with the clingy fabric. The Desert Dry is a sleek, performance driven product.
Antigua is also offering the Desert Dry Xtra-Lite. It takes the exclusive Desert Dry moisture wicking feature and combines it with a specially constructed ultra-light fabric.
It gives the golfer maximum wicking performance and comfort. They are lightweight without giving that “see through” look, an important element of lightweight gear. If you play in hot, humid conditions, the Xtra-Lite line will be a welcome addition to your wardrobe.

The Antigua men’s and women’s outerwear collection for 2016 is also a perfect drive down the middle.
Outerwear is a necessity for the elements, but it doesn’t mean it has to be unfashionable. This year’s spring collection mirrors the shirts they accompany. The fabric weights are designed for protection and warmth without sacrificing comfort and mobility–a versatile combination.
The men’s styles are referred to as Circulate (92% polyester and 8% Spandex).
With Circulate, the team at Antigua took the heather color and pieced the primary colors into the designs. Circulate is a wear anywhere and wear often style. It is a mid-weight knit outerwear garment that offers style and comfort.
The Horizon style uses color blocking and stripes.
They placed the stripes below the chest seam and back seam; which is designed to embellish the style’s neutrality. The casual nuance reflects this outerwear’s intention of not being limited to a single-wearing situation.
The last piece of the outerwear selection is Ally.
It is a three-dimensional jersey faced fleece. The full-zip style gives Ally a versatile use. It has hip placed pockets and the lightweight breathable fleece makes it feel like a sweatshirt.
The 2016 women’s outerwear styles have become a turning point for the woman golfer. They added shell pieces and knit pullovers which will give you the option of layering pieces together.
