The Sioux Falls golf scene has added a “one-stop golf stop” on the corner of 57th and Marion Road.
Golf Addiction and Golf ETC now share one roof!
The area’s popular home-grown business Golf Addiction–an indoor virtual golf simulator established in 2012–has done some re-scaling work within their building to make a home for a local golf outfitting shop called Golf ETC.
So while you’re getting your clubs regripped or a sitting around after a fitting, enjoy an ice cold pint of beer and an appitizer at the Golf Addiction Bar & Grill. Sounds nice, doesn’t it?
Here’s the skinny on Golf ETC…
Golf ETC– the Golf “Equipment Technical Center”–was founded and brought to the Sioux Falls area in October 2012 by local golf enthusiast Jared Frank. Frank saw an opportunity for custom build golf clubs and additional non-native golf equipment in the Sioux Falls area. He drummed up conversations with the franchise label Golf ETC and made the deal final.
With the deal, Frank has the rights to the entire region and his plans for the business are to offer golfers with a quality, quick place for all club upgrades, repair and maintenance.
At Golf ETC, they aren’t simply another golf apparel store– they offer something entirely different. Utilizing a special technique for building clubs, the staff at Golf ETC (headed by manager Bryan Sterk) are able to build completely customizable golf sets, from drivers through irons and wedges, all the way down to a putter. These clubs are built to fit on person– you!
The take into factor length, weight, lie angles and optimum heads and take it one step further. They make sure the shafts are precise fit for each clients individual golf swing. Flex and kick point are measured to precise amount to ensure consistency throughout the set of clubs, something golf manufacturers are unable to promise.
So why do I need to have custom golf clubs? Aren’t those only for “good golfers?”
This statement is heard often from the amateur golf community and it couldn’t be more of a misnomer.
Getting custom clubs is magnified as the golfer’s handicap inflates. Better players are better able to adapt to poor equipment than high handicappers. High handicappers need help with tightening dispersion and narrowing their big misses. Equipment fit properly will help them in extremely measurable ways.
With the addition of state of the art custom golf equipment to the Golf Addiction storefront, take a look at how the set up looks in the back!
The Golf ETC store can be reached from either the front (through the Golf Addiction side) or through a door on the east side of the building. The shop is chalk full of equipment options and apparel. Come in, get fit on the Golf Addiction simulators and have Golf ETC whip you up your new set of golf clubs!
